NASCAR drivers are starting to sound like NBA players with all of their constant complaining about rules, etc. A win for a Toyota car to make things more interesting for the sport. NASCAR drivers are wimps. They’re protected by some flimsy sheet metal, but the formula drivers that stick their head out of the cars are the real men of racing.

NASCAR drivers are at full physical activity for 3-5 hours plus 120% concentration with no time outs or half times. And yes, they are in excellent physical condition. NASCAR drivers are more guy next door than rock star. While many professional baseball players and basketball players are unapproachable with huge posses, NASCAR drivers are very approachable in general. NASCAR drivers are going into corners at 200-plus miles per hour, but there’s a renegade quality to them. It’s amazing to see these guys joking around and laughing with their pit crews before the race gets started.

NASCAR drivers are comfortable on ovals, but every driver will arrive at a road course race with a different level of confidence. That confidence is a product of familiarity and past success, and drivers are most productive when they are comfortable. NASCAR drivers are involved in a variety of charity events. Also look for any charity events the driver might make for their favorite charity. NASCAR drivers are not athletes, for the most part. You could take any driver out there today, put them up next to a member of their or any other team’s race day pit crew, and 90 percent of the time the pit crew member is going to be the one in better shape.

NASCAR drivers are tacticians; they are great strategists; they are very knowledgeable. They are not athletes. NASCAR drivers are legendary for pushing the envelope on race car design to boost their top speed. Sometimes, in their exuberance to excel, they exceed the track’s rules and regulations concerning body, chassis, or engine modifications. NASCAR drivers are like gladiators and Formula 1 drivers are like fighter pilots.

Racecars need seat belts that will securely hold the driver in his or her seat. Racers has the same qualities of these pitchers. And there are racers who go and work out to help their endurance so they dont get worn out during a race. Races last approximately three hours. That’s three hours of cars driving around in a circle. Races are broadcast in over 150 countries. NASCAR is expanding internationally.

Drivers also benefit by using the teammates features to strategically work their way through the pack. A drafting meter indicates when a car is in the slipstream of another car and leads to increased speed and power. Drivers need to be able to withstand the physical challenges of dealing with extreme heat and the challenge of physically handling a race car going over one hundred miles per hour. NASCAR drivers need extremely sharp reflexes, endurance, courage, and split-second decision making skills.

Everyone has the same tires after all. Everyone is loose, which means their back ends want to slide up into the wall. Brinkley likes a loose race car, but the guy starting behind him, Tommy Lemons Jr., is too loose and gets passed once, twice, three times in the first 15 laps. Everyone likes to root for their own home boy. There are also the drivers that everyone loves to hate.

It also characterized the ultrasonic waveforms generated by these vehicles in order to help fine-tune the engines and predict imminent failures. Ganassi’s IndyCar teams have amassed five championships and 56 wins since 1994; his NASCAR teams have 12 wins and a Rookie-of-the-Year title; and the Grand American team has won two of the last three Rolex Series Daytona Prototype Championships and are the three-time defending champions of the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Gordon was penalized and fined for trying to hit Waltrip’s car during a caution and for swearing on live TV. Kahne was penalized for trying to hit Kyle Busch’s car during a caution. Gordon and Tony Stewart are two drivers who have mastered all types of tracks. Gordon was the harbinger of corporate Nascar. Nascar was the iconoclast of sports in the 80s/90s.
