Should companies who make more feminine products sponsor cars in Nascar?
Typical Nascar sponsors have been motor oil companies, tire companies and beer companies. Recently, however, Garnier Fructis has begun to sponsor a car, driven by Brian Vickers. Now being much of a Nascar fan, I don’t see it as a problem or anything, but it has received criticism from many Nascar fans. Do you think Nascar should stick with more traditionally masculine companies and products as sponsors or is it time for a new era?

Yes, I think its time for change because if you look at the Nascar fans you’re not going to see a sea of men alone, lots of women are also into racing these days so much so that if you check out the smaller circuits you will even see some good professional female drivers so I think its a good thing that the sponsorship is starting to reflect this.

Lets help Teams get sponsors. Do you buy any products just because NASCAR sponsors a team?

I think the management of “” answers”" should let this one collect answers and use it to market to the non-support companies.

Where else can you get the name of your company in front of this many viewers for hours at a time? What are you paying for 30 sec. of air time on TV an Radio?

Personally I flip channels every time a commercial comes on regular TV.

It is said that Nascar fans are the most brand loyal of all sporting fans.But,I’ve asked this same question before and was kinda suprised,that the answers didn’t really reflect that fact.You would think a Kurt Busch fan wouldn’t be caught dead with a Bud in their hand.But if they prefer Bud thats what their drinking.Me,I’m much more hardcore,I won’t support any product or company,who’s driver I don’t like.My only regret is Wal-Mart doesn’t sponser anyone,I would love to hate on that racer!!!

Who does a better job of marketing their product: The NFL or NASCAR?

NFL

Because football had a foothold in college and highschool sports before the NFL itself was even formed. People learn how to play football and they know as much about it as baseball. Also football more evenly covers the race line than any other major sports. Although baseball and basketball are doing pretty good at that too!

The NFL is marketed in many countries, there are more NFL related products on the market than ever before, including video games and other items.

the NFL has always be quick to adapt to change, ever since the merger , they have constintly become more innovative in their rules and they are always making changes to keep the game more exciting and more interesting.

Also, the NFL is only played 16 or so weeks not counting pre-season or playoffs. 1 or 2 days a week. That is just enough time to get bored. And leave yourself wanting to fast forward to the next season, they keep you hungry for football. I like all sports and am an avid fan of the Americas Cup competition. Used to run track in highschool but I have never seen any other game, live or on tv that came close to the excitemnet generated by an NFL event.

Maybe its the fact that in some ways it is like war. You go on the offensive, you go on the defensive. Strategies are based on out guessing your opponent. the excitement builds and you have about 5 to 15 seconds to run the play. And in between plays you have a lot of time to think about it and plan.

That involves the fans as well, who live or die on every play. The NFL knows how to bring this across with their smooth camera work, background of players and their colorfull announcers that inform you with details about the game that you may have missed, all in all, the NFL is the best choreographed event on television.

By that I don’t mean the action is staged, like professional wrestling. But the coverage is top notch. Once you add in the t-shirts, banners, rubber number 1 fingers, trading cards, MVP, fantasy football, online statistics, etc.

YOU CAN NOT BEAT IT!!!
And did I mention the SLICK on air graphics, which are just getting better, year to year!
